The Hebrew Verbal System I – Verb Forms of the Regular/ Strong Verb

This course is an introduction to the Hebrew Verbal System. It teaches the verb forms of the regular (or strong) verb.

We introduce the forms and uses of:

• the Perfect of dynamic and stative verbs,
• the Imperfect of dynamic and stative verbs,
• Vav Consecutive Imperfect,
• Vav Consecutive Perfect,
• Active and Passive Participles,
• Infinitive Absolute,
• Infinitive Construct,
• the Imperative and its prohibition,
• the Cohortative and Jussive in the positive and in the negative.

The last lesson provides a review of the regular verb.

The Appendix provides the full Paradigm of the Strong Verb, as well as a full Dictionary in alphabetic order.
