Understanding the Bible begins with a solid foundation in Hebrew. I have a strong background in languages and linguistics and speak German, English, and Modern Israeli Hebrew fluently. My academic work in Semitic languages, culminating in an M.A., informs a clear and structured approach to reading and interpreting the Hebrew Bible.
Students often describe my teaching as patient, knowledgeable, and engaging. Over the years, I have built lasting relationships with many of them, and our work together has been shaped by thoughtful dialogue and diverse perspectives on scripture.

Learning is new non-native language in a conventional course is tough enough, but doing it online seems tougher. I’m not linguistically gifted and Biblical Hebrew is a tough language to pickup, but Michal makes extra efforts to help us and gentle nudge us to read and try during classes.
